Connectivity

Learn More

TXSE’s primary matching engine is located in Equinix NY6 in Secaucus, NJ, with latency equalization across NY4, NY5, and NY6. Customers outside these buildings will experience additional latency. The disaster recovery (DR) matching engine is hosted in Equinix DA11 in Dallas, TX.

Customers may connect to DR either directly to DA11 or through TXSE infrastructure at 350 E. Cermak in Chicago. Cermak connections will have traffic backhauled to DA11 over redundant TXSE circuits. Backhaul from Cermak to the production data center is not available.

Connectivity to both production and DR environments is available through cross-connects, circuits, or approved extranet providers. Cross-connects are limited to customers within the respective Equinix campuses, must terminate in a customer cage, and cannot connect directly to rooftop infrastructure.

Technical specifications

Learn More

TXSE will offer binary and FIX order entry protocols, giving members flexible, high-performance access to the market—and distinctive order type features to optimize trading strategies.

TXSE’s SEED binary order entry protocol

TXSE SEED is a high-performance binary order entry protocol, engineered to deliver low-latency access to our equity markets.

TXSE’s FIX order entry protocol

TXSE FIX 5.0 for electronic order entry and market data—enhanced with exchange-specific guidelines to reflect our trading model and regulatory framework. Designed for broker-dealers, vendors, and developers, the TXSE FIX specification ensures reliable and consistent connectivity to our markets.

TXSE’s RAKE

RAKE TCP is a TCP-based protocol that ensures reliable, in-order delivery of Exchange messages, while Member messages are sent without delivery guarantees. Higher-level protocols handle uniqueness, and most servers process one Member message at a time.

RAKE UDP is a simple message framing protocol for sending messages from the Exchange to Members only. Typically used for market data, although it is also payload agnostic.

TXSE’s drop copy

TXSE's drop copy specifications are not yet finalized and will be completed and posted at a later date.
